Formerly a monastery known as the "Convento dei Tre Mori", the hotel, converted around the fifteenth century, is situated in the delightful historical centre of Siena. Just a stone's throw from the "Piazza del Campo", whose singular beauty is quite unique, and from the famous "Duomo", the hotel is easy to get to by car, coach and public means of transportation. All the rooms have private bathrooms, satellite television and minibar. Buffet breakfast. There are parking places near the hotel and a number of characteristic local restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The rooms are simple but confortable and furnished with television, hair dryer and private bathrooms. A stone's throw from the hotel you will find the main street that brings you to the famous Piazza del Campo, considered bye many one of the most beautiful squares in the world, and you can admire Siena's medevial charm side by side with the modern aspects of the town, and - following the city wall - the wide and tipical landscape for this region.
From outside there is no doubt that the building goes back to the Middle Age; also inside you can find historical traces, but with every modern comfort for our clientes and our services. Exactly in the same way, when you go around in the streets of Siena, you will see a modern city with an evidently old background.

The easiest way to find our hotel, no matter what direction you come from, is the take the north exit (uscita nord) when you reach Siena, and from there follow the directions towards the train station (stazione ferroviaria), that is in Viale Mazzini. Just continue on that road and turn right at the end; you will find yourself in Via Garibaldi and after about 200 metres you will see on your left hand a small square called Piazza del Sale where Piccolo Hotel il Palio is situated.
You can stay outside the hotel only to unload/load your luggage, but to park your car you have to go in Viale Don Minzoni (free parking) just down the street; otherwise there is a garage where the clients of our hotel pay 15euros/24hours.
If you decide to spend your holiday, or at least a part of it, here in Siena, you cannot miss the famous Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy - some people say in the whole world. Try to sit down at one a café with a cappuccino or a glass of Chianti wine and admire the charming old square with it's majestetic tower while you see the daily life of Siena passing by you. Other attractions are for example the gothic cathedral, the fortress, and the churc of Santa Caterina, and when you reach one of the points of the citywall that is surrounding the city, you can even see the tipical tuscan landscape.
